HEI-Sponsored Fellowship
The HEI summer fellowship program is seeking undergraduate students to apply for a full-time, paid summer research experience. In collaboration with ISEE and ISES, chosen students will have the option to work with a mentor chosen from 26 expert scientists around the United States. The HEI summer fellowship is designed to support and encourage students from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue environmental health sciences research while providing students with career and networking support.Fellows will spend 10 weeks between June and August developing and conducting research alongside a mentor at an academic institution or non-profit organization. Applicants should be authorized to work in the United States and be a junior or a senior the fall after the fellowship. Applicants are not expected to have a background in environmental or health sciences but should be motivated to learn more about environmental health sciences as a potential career path and be able to describe any skills that might transfer. Applications are now open through January 6, 2025.
