Special Interest Group "Socio-Environmental Research", Room Regency VI, 7:30am-8:30am
Join us for an informal gathering of the newly formed ISEE Special Interest Group (SIG) on Socio-Environmental Research. This session will serve as a space for members to meet, share interests, and help shape the group’s priorities moving forward. The SIG focuses on advancing research that explores the joint effects of environmental exposures and social conditions on health. Discussion will be led by Drs. Rachit Sharma (UC Berkeley) and Jane E Clougherty (Drexel University).

Special Interest Group "Quantitative Bias Analysis", Room Regency V, 7:30am-8:30am
Organized by the newly-forming ISEE Special Interest Group (SIG) on Quantitative Bias Analysis, this 60-minute session will introduce the group’s mission, goals, and opportunities for involvement. The SIG aims to promote learning, collaboration, and practical application of QBA methods to improve the transparency and validity of epidemiologic research. The session will include an overview of survey results from members on their interests and backgrounds, a discussion of planned SIG activities, and an open forum for feedback, engagement, and suggestions. A featured presentation will be given by Emory University’s Dr. Timothy Lash, coauthor of Quantitative Bias Analysis for Epidemiologic Data, who will share perspectives on the evolution, importance, and future directions of QBA in environmental and epidemiologic research. This session is open to all ISEE members and especially encourages those curious about QBA or looking to become involved in the SIG to attend.
