ISEE Announces Three New Councilors

The International Society for Environmental Epidemiology Announces Three New Council Members

The International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to the Executive Council. The three new members include a Secretary-Treasurer, and two new Councilors, representing the regions of Latin America and the Caribbean and North America. Tamara Schikowski will join the ISEE Council as Secretary-Treasurer, joined by Latin America and Caribbean Councilor María Teresa Muñoz-Quezada and North American Councilor Joan Casey.
 
“It is with great delight that we extend a warm welcome to Tamara, María Teresa, and Joan, and celebrate their election by our colleagues to the ISEE Governing Council,” said Nelson Gouveia, ISEE President. “Their dedication and vision will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission. Tamara Schikowski, Secretary-Treasurer, is Full Professor for Environment and Health, University of Bielefeld & Head of Working Group, IUF-Leibniz Research Institute for Environmental Medicine, Germany.
 
María Teresa Muñoz-Quezada, Councilor, Latin America and Caribbean Region is Associate Professor, School of Public Health, University of Chile, Chile.
 
Joan Casey, Councilor, North America Region, is Associate Professor, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences and Epidemiology, University of Washington School of Public Health, United States.
