Call for Applications: At-Large Members for the ISEE Finance Committee
The International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) is seeking two dedicated members from our general membership to join the Finance Committee as At-Large Members.This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Society’s long-term sustainability, ensure financial transparency, and help shape the strategic allocation of resources that support our global mission.
About the Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is established to provide critical financial oversight and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the creation of the annual operating budget.
- Monitoring the Society’s financial performance throughout the year.
- Facilitating financial transparency for the broader membership.
- Making recommendations to improve ISEE’s financial health and long-term viability.
To ensure institutional memory and continuity, terms for these self-nominated positions are staggered:
Position A:
Initial Term Length: Two (2) Years
Renewal: Eligible for one (1) renewal
Position B:
Initial Term Length: One (1) Year
Renewal: Eligible for one (1) renewal
Note:
Following the initial staggered setup, all subsequent terms will typically be for two years.
Who Should Apply?
We encourage applications from members at any career stage who have a keen interest in the organizational health of ISEE. While professional financial expertise is not a requirement, we are looking for individuals who:
- Are current members of ISEE in good standing.
- Possess a basic understanding of (or a strong willingness to learn) non-profit financial oversight.
- Are committed to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and the Society’s strategic goals.
- Can commit to attending regular committee meetings (typically held virtually).
